Keep some Milo’s Sweet Tea on hand to make this Cranberry Apple Sweet Tea for your guests!

Cranberry Apple Sweet Tea is perfect to have on hand for your holiday entertaining!

This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and Milo’s Tea, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #HolidaysWithMilos  http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV

Does anyone else get excited about fun drinks when the holidays roll around? I love setting up a fun beverage table and fancying up our usual go-to drinks. It makes everyone feel special to have something fancy to sip on! My go-to drink of choice these days is almost always tea. I’ve never been a huge soda drinker, but we could drink our iced and hot teas by the gallon. (and often do!) If you ever come over to visit, you’ll find out that we actually have an entire cabinet dedicated to different flavored teas. (I’m not kidding – a WHOLE cabinet. We love tea!) Stop by any time you want for a holiday tea party in our kitchen. I may even make cookies.

Sweet tea is awesome as-is, but I wanted to upgrade it and make it a bit more special for the holiday get-togethers we are planning, so I came up with this Cranberry Apple Sweet Tea. Oh man it’s SO GOOD! We are about to go through our second gallon of Milo’s Sweet Tea making these and it’s just been Hubby and I this week. You may have to come cut us off soon. (Or join us instead…)

I’m always looking for new teas to try, so this Milo’s Sweet Tea caught my eye when it started showing up at our local Walmart. I ignore a lot of the bottled drinks at the grocery because they are usually packed full of chemical preservatives and high fructose corn syrup in addition to the juice or tea that you actually wanted. This tea surprised me because it’s just filtered water, pure cane sugar, and tea – all natural ingredients. (There’s also unsweetened and no-calorie versions.) Combine that with the fact that you can buy 2 gallons of Milo’s Tea for just $5 on rollback while supplies last and it became a must-try.

Since we’re always having people over, I like to pick a few “signature” hostessing foods to keep on hand for each season. You should do this too if you aren’t already. Coming up with a few seasonal things you can have on hand and pull out for company on a whim make entertaining so easy! This past Summer it was chips with peach salsa from my garden and my blood orange drink syrup. This Fall it has been my microwave toffee popcorn and ginger beer. This Cranberry Apple Sweet Tea is going to be our signature holiday drink this year if I can keep gallons of the sweet tea stocked in our fridge. I plan to pair it with a fun cookie wreath I’ll be sharing with y’all next week.

What are your go-to snacks and beverages for holiday entertaining? Have you tried Milo’s Tea yet?

Ingredients

Scale

You can scale this as large or as small as you want using this basic ratio

  • 1 part cranberry juice
  • 1 part apple cider
  • 2 parts Milo’s Sweet Tea
  • Crushed ice

I mixed a large batch with

  • 1/2 gallon cranberry juice
  • 1/2 gallon apple cider
  • 1 gallon Milo’s Sweet Tea
  • Ice

Optional garnish

  • Frozen cranberries
  • Apple slices cut with a cookie cutter
  • lemon juice (to keep apples from discoloring)

Instructions

  1. Slice apples across the center and cut out shapes with your favorite cookie cutter. (I used a star cutter then cut a slit for the edge of the glass.)
  2. Dip in lemon juice to prevent browning.

For one glass

  1. Add some crushed ice to the glass.
  2. Fill halfway with Milo’s Sweet Tea
  3. Fill to the 3/4 mark with apple cider
  4. Fill the rest of the way with cranberry juice.
  5. Add some frozen cranberries for color.
  6. Garnish the edge of the glass with apple shapes.

For a large batch

  1. In a large punch bowl or drink dispenser, combine Milo’s Sweet Tea, cranberry juice, and apple cider.
  2. Add enough ice to keep it cold.
  3. Float the frozen cranberries and apple shapes in the punch bowl.

Notes

  • Gluten-free: This is gluten-free!
  • Vegetarian/vegan: This is vegan.

Mmm, this sounds so good! I love sweet tea, so it would be fun to try it with these flavors. And since it’s usually too hot for warm beverages in Florida, an iced holiday drink is perfect!
