Good morning friends! This post is coming to you from the road. I spent this past weekend at the amazing Influence Conference in Indianapolis and my heart has been so encouraged by hanging out with a group of women who are excited to do amazing things right where they’re at. It was such a blast to meet some of my closest blogging friends in real life and share a hotel room with a fun group of ladies. And there’s something awesome about being surrounded by people who share your hobbies and passions. When you meet “your people” you feel totally free to be exactly who you are, internet addict and all. 😉 Plus, nobody judges you if you Instagram your meal before you eat it!

The next few weeks are going to be busy with travel for me, but I wanted to let you know what to expect coming up on the blog because I have 3 amazing giveaways in the works just for you! I haven’t done many giveaways here before, but you’ve been asking for them, so I listened! On Tuesday or Wednesday of this week I’m hosting a giveaway for a beautiful gift set of ceramic knives (check back each day to see if it’s live!) and on Thursday I’m teaming up with A Savory Feast for Fall Welcome Week where we will be giving away a sweet Fall prize pack and sharing many favorite recipes to welcome Fall.
Crocktober is coming!!
The last giveway will go live on October 1st and will be a Crocktober starter kit with a fancy slow cooker and a visa giftcard for a grocery shopping trip! Crocktober is probably my favorite time of year. Here on Sustaining the Powers I’ll be posting a slow cooker meal plan every week and sharing as many new slow cooker recipes as I can pack in before my freezer is stuffed with the leftovers. (Food blogger problems.) This year many of my favorite food blogging friends are joining in too, so it should be a huge month-long party with plenty of recipes to choose from!
Meal Plan Monday 9/21-9/27
This meal plan is designed to feed approximately 4 adults at each meal or two adults with lunches left over. Feel free to double or add to it as needed. **You’ll need to open it with the free Adobe Reader App (Android or iOS) to be able to use the check boxes on mobile, so install that first if you don’t have it already.**
Monday: Pork Filet Citrus and Quinoa Salad from The Wetherills Say I Do (gluten-free)
Tuesday: Cheesy Rotel Chicken Bake from A Savory Feast (gluten-free)
Wednesday: Apple, Leek and Butternut Squash Gratin from Ezra Pound Cake (gluten-free, vegetarian)
Thursday: Tuscan Chicken Skillet from The Wanderlust Kitchen (gluten-free)
Friday: Pizza Night! With My Eggplant and Olive Tapenade Pizza (gluten-free if using gf crust, vegetarian option)
Saturday: Date Night – Eat Out.
Sunday: Y.O.Y.O. (You’re on your own.)
